NaruSaku: Don't die on meSakura Haruno sat on a bench by herself in the Leaf Village. It's been 1 month since Naruto killed Sasuke in battle. Naruto was left with death threating injuries so he's been in the hospital; he shall be released in 20 more days. Sakura brushed back her cherry pink hair as she thought of what Naruto's last words were to her:
The blonde ninja sighed and looked down at the ground. Sakura linked twice then said, "Are you alright?"
Naruto slowly looked up, his blue eyes sad. "I'm leaving."
Sakura gasped, "Why? Where are you going?"
He took a step closer to Sakura as he said slowly, "I'm going to fight Sasuke." Sakura was about to speak but Naruto quickly set a finger on her lips. "Don't try to stop me, Sakura. I know what I'm doing." He smiled. "Sasuke won't listen to us, he's lost control on himself. I'm prepared."
"Prepared for what?"
Naruto sighed and said, "I'm prepared to die."
Sakura blinked back tears as she punched Naruto hard across his face. She punc
Request: A-ll-yNaruto knew it would come to this. After rescuing Sasuke and finally delivering on his promise to Sakura he could finally see that she was happy. The way she hugged Sasuke as he stood their with a forced smiled on his face tore at his heart, but he wouldn't allow himself to cry, not in front of Sakura or Sasuke. He wasn't sure, but long enough to allow Sasuke and Sakura to have sometime together and possibly forget about him. That night Naruto cried like he had never done before and eventually fell asleep.
He woke up the next morning to the sound of his door being knocked on and he wondered who exactly it was as he
Abandoned ChapelThe parish waits now,
the loneliness of corners
crawling outward on walls--
chipped away by the wind,
and held together
by silk spindles;
cobwebs align them like the membranes of memories,
the cut of a jewel in an broken window
against the sun
where beads of rain
gather in a mesh of strands
a new Mosaic
against the backdrop of a cemetery;
My eyes seek out the sermon
in close proximity,
paint no distance
between headstone and cloud;
elegies topple each other
in their climb to heaven
as light trickles
over the shade,
breathes a new glow over snuffed candles.
I feel the weight in these empty rows,
how a breath couldn't cease to be breath
in the midst of prayer.
